De Klok Banden started business as a coal supplier in Rotterdam in 1920 and expanded between 1950 and 1960 to include the supply of petroleum and petroleum-related products. End sixties De Klok started a tyre fitting station.
Expanding its activities also became a theme of the eighties. In 1982 an important step was taken for De Klok Banden B.V., a wholesale company in tyres for passenger cars, trucks, SUV/4x4, vans and harbour vehicles, with the move to larger premises in Oud-Beijerland, 15 km to the south of Rotterdam.
Today De Klok Banden in Oud-Beijerland has emerged as a leading import/export company dealing in a wide range of wellknown tyre brands such as Bridgestone, Continental, Dunlop, Firestone, Fulda, Goodyear, Michelin, Pirelli, Uniroyal, Vredestein etc. Furthermore De Klok imports exclusively the tyrebrand Nokian, Nankang, GT Radial, Accelera, Ovation and Sonar. Private brand Delfin makes the total range complete!
Strong growth of its core activities, import/export of new tyres, made expansion necessary. Operating from its new premises with a surface area of 25,000 m2 (expanded in 2006), De Klok Banden is able to respond even better to developments in international tyre market.
